A joint research paper (Nature Communications, 2023) with Dr. Yokoi from Nagoya University and Dr. Koga from Osaka University has been press-released by Tokyo Institute of Technology, Nagoya University, Osaka University, National Cancer Center, and JST
We have developed a new exosome capture tool called ‘EV Sheet’ using cellulose nanofibers – Expectations for spatial analysis of exosomes in vivo and cancer medical applications.
In collaboration with Dr. Yokoi from Nagoya University, School of Medicine (also affiliated with the university’s Institute of Advanced Research), Prof. Kajiyama from Nagoya University, Graduate School of Medicine, Dr. Koga from Osaka University, and Dr. Yamamoto from National Cancer Center Research Institute, we have developed a new exosome capture tool known as the “EV Sheet” (EV: Extracellular vesicles). Focusing on ovarian cancer, this innovative tool enables the recovery and preservation of exosomes from minute quantities of bodily fluids that were previously impossible to collect. Additionally, through analysis, we have unveiled the novel characteristics of exosomes. As a result, the EV Sheet holds promise as a new medical material for applications targeting exosomes.
Spatial exosome analysis using cellulose nanofiber sheets reveals the location heterogeneity of extracellular vesicles. Nat. Commun. 14, 6915 (2023). https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-023-42593-9
